How to tie an FG knot
The thinnest, strongest leader knot ever tested — passes through rod micro-guides with zero friction.
Step 1 of 4
- Keep tension on your braided mainline and hold the fluorocarbon leader perpendicular.
- Weave the braid back and forth across the leader 18 to 22 times, creating alternating cross wraps.
- Lock the wraps in place with a half hitch around both lines, pulling hard until the braid darkens and bites into the fluoro.
- Finish with 4 alternating half hitches over the braid mainline and trim both tags flush.
