How to tie a San Diego jam knot

Step 1 of 4
  1. Pass the tag end through the eye of the hook and fold it alongside the standing line.
  2. Wrap the tag end 6 to 7 times downward around both lines towards the hook eye.
  3. Pass the tag end through the small loop near the hook eye.
  4. Pass the tag end back through the top loop formed between the wraps and standing line, moisten and pull tight.
